Management
The Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University is the Chairman of the North-Western Regional Centre. He broadly supervises the Centre’s programmes.
Advisory Committee
For advising the Chairman in the planning and development of its programmes, the ICSSR constitutes, in consultation with the Chairman, an Advisory Committee consisting of representatives of the Social Science Departments of the Universities and Research institutions. The tenure of the Advisory Committee is two years. It meets at least once a year to review the work of the Centre during the preceding year and recommends programmes to be developed during the ensuing year.
Sub Committees
Apart from the Advisory Committee , the Director is also assisted by the following sub-committees.
- Seminar Grant Committee
- Study Grant Committee
- Library Committee
- Management Committee of the ICSSR Complex
These committees help in larger involvement of senior faculty members from social science departments of the Panjab University and other universities of the region in the functioning of the Centre.
