The Centre has been providing financial assistance for organizing theme oriented seminars / workshops both at the University and College level in the North-Western Region. The Regional Centre invites the proposals for the seminars/workshops in every financial year up to the maximum amount of Rs.75,000/-. The Seminar Grant Committee screens all the proposals. All efforts are made by the Seminar Grant Committee constituted for this purpose, to distribute the grants rationally.

LECTURE SERIES BY EMINENT SOCIAL SCIENTISTS:
The ICSSR North Western Regional Centre organises Lectures by Eminent Social Scientists in their own area of specialisation and on themes of current interest. These lectures are largely based on research work done by the eminent scholars on theme of great academic and practical significance and are materially different from popular public lectures. These provide great stimulus and interest to the social science community of the Region.
